Bestselling author Elena Torres visits Riverside Public Library to discuss her acclaimed new novel, 'The River Between Us,' a multigenerational story of immigration, identity, and the ties that bind families across borders. The novel has been named a New York Times Notable Book and was longlisted for the National Book Award.
Elena Torres is the author of four novels and a short story collection. Her work explores the Mexican-American experience with warmth, humor, and lyrical prose. She is a recipient of the PEN/Faulkner Award and teaches creative writing at Northwestern University.
